Director felt that he has hidden the major twist in the film until the third act but anybody could guess what the hero has been going through by the visuals and the dialogs itself. Hence the suspense factor when it gets revealed in the last hour didn’t click.
The film opens on a dull note and moves ahead at a leisurely pace which gets stuck at times. The narration is snail paced and bores you to the core at times. Hero’s social awareness goes overboard and irks you. Only saving grace in this movie is Priya Anand’s character which is cute and lovable. Sadly, she too turns crybaby in the last hour and the film turns out to be an absolute nightmare from then on. Lack of comedy is another minus as the films gets too heavy in the second hour.
There is nothing new in this movie as we have seen similar plot in many movies. Chakram and Oy are the recent past movies which also are made on the similar lines. Strangely Siddharth is the hero in Oy and he has once again tried the same subject in a different angle! The result this time would be even worse.
Plus Points:
- Cinematography
- Background score
- Lead actors performance
Minus points:
- Snail paced narrative
- Very old plotline
- Heavy second hour
Final Word: 180 – Boring journey at a speed of 180 centimeters per hour!
Box office predictions: 180 might seem fine to the A center crowds due to the content and visual splendor. Even they will feel second half a bit torturous. It is a complete no no to mass audience and masala seekers. It is likely to end up below Oy among Siddharth’s movies.
180 Review rating: 2.5/5

The story or the narration may be very familiar, but the catchy dialogues and he sequence penned by Jayendra along with writers Subha is good. The nose for details and the execution of emotional scenes especially the thoughts of a youth all set to face his death are brought out well. The first half is racy and interesting while the latter part drags a bit.
Box Office Prediction
It is a movie that is rich, suave and stylish. There are enough emotional elements in it. But the fact is that it is too sophisticated for a common man to identify himself with the film.
Plus points
- Siddharth's performance
- Catchy visuals
- Good music by Sharreth
Minus points
- Predictable story
- Slow second half

The biggest annoying factors in 180 are painfully boring and slow narration which takes the interest away from the movie. All the effort this film unit put in making the movie with one of the best cinematography, is taken away due to 'draggy' screenplay.
Not a great film. Not a bad movie either. An average movie with technical brilliance. Watch it only if you have no other options.

Review: 180 is a clicheThe biggest stumbling block, though, is the screenplay. Surprisingly, Subha's dialogues don't really gel, while the story, after a promising beginning, meanders all over the place. The romantic situations of the first half, meant to be heart-warming, turn cloyingly sweet but the second half is actually disappointing. The big twist leaves you gaping with surprise, largely because it's completely predictable.
180 is a visual feast, no doubt about it. Sadly it falls prey to clichés and lagging pace.

Telugu film review: 180 is emotional tortureC'est tellement violent que je le mets en spoiler ( oui, sérieusement ).
- Spoiler:
180 is two and a half hours of emotional torture that is so brutally assaultive in its determination to extort sympathy from viewers that it practically leaps off the screen and into their laps in order to get to it. This film is completely contrived and uneven; by the end we are screaming to yank our eyes and ears away from all that overtly dramatic music, glycerin tears, the super sensitive subject choice and the crushing lack of sensibility. Siddharth’s heartfelt performance and the exquisite cinematography can't redeem the dramatic fallacies surrounding this mess.
(...)180 feels like there was an explosion at the sob story factory and little pieces from dozens of different films were jammed together into one dreadful mutant. The whole terminal illness melodrama attacks your chest so relentlessly, that by the time it's over you’re forced to beg for a defibrillator.

Clear, clean visuals. A good looking, well dressed cast. No battles or bloodshed beyond the toiling of broken hearts. Nootri Enbadhu is a welcome shower in the midst of the gritty, sweltering heat of mass flicks and crude rural dramas. P. Jayendra, welcome to Tamil Cinema! He's no novice in direction (he's been making ad films for decades) but Nootri Enbadhu is his maiden attempt at a full-length feature film. Produced by Sathyam Cinemas and Aghal Films, Nootri Enbadhu is an impressive directorial debut with an interesting plot, good pace, well-picked stars, apt music and a twist in the tale!
(...) All in all, a good effort that's bound to appeal to the urban youth, definitely worth a watch.
